An interactive hub within the Fela Kuti: Afrobeat Rebellion exhibition for young audiences to explore Fela’s legacy through music and design workshops, and school excursions. These outputs collectively contribute to a growing exhibition at the YRC
Co-produced by The Children's Art Gallery.
The Experience
At the heart of Fela’s legacy lies a call to create without fear. The Young Rebels’ Corner brings that energy alive as an immersive zone where young people can listen, learn, and express themselves through various media.
“The Young Rebels Corner carries perhaps the most challenging task of the entire exhibition; to interpret Fela’s life & message for a generation that did not experience his time. TCAG aims for every young attendee to feel seen, inspired, and emboldened to express themselves without fear. Fela’s legacy stands as a testament to truth, courage, and creative freedom; values that remain profoundly relevant today. Through this space, we hope to translate that legacy into language young people can understand and apply positively in shaping the world around them.” ~ Segun Oni, 2025
